Speakers selected to provide this annual one hour lecture embody the spirit of scholarship, mentorship, and collegiality that Dr. Pashley embodied so well throughout his tenure at the Dental College of Georgia. Past speakers have included clinicians, scientists, and external consultants who share their  insights on current trends and innovation in dental medicine as well as their experiences and lessons learned in their fields.

Dr. Richard Price

Adequately light-curing dental resins in the mouth has become an essential step of many dental visits. This presentation will cover the basics of safe resin polymerization and show you how you can easily compromise the success of your restorations.

Richard B. Price, BDS, DDS, FDS, RCS, FRCD, PhD is a prosthodontist who has been teaching at Dalhousie University in Canada since 1984. He obtained a BDS from the University of London, England in 1979 and his DDS from Dalhousie University in 1988. He received his prosthodontic training at the University of Michigan in 1984 and obtained a Doctorate in Oral Technology and Dental Materials from the University of Malmö, Sweden in 2001. He maintains a YouTube channel with over 210,000 views and has written more than 220 peer-reviewed articles on light-curing as well as authored a chapter in Studevant's text “Art and Science of Operative Dentistry.”

He has received multiple national and international awards for his contributions to the science of photocuring, and he has started an national/internally renowned annual scientific gathering (The Northern Lights Dental Conference) where key clinical, industrial, and academic leaders in the fields of dental technology meet to discuss contemporary issues.
