Contest Format

The SeDR Symposium Poster Competition will take place virtually using Microsoft Teams. Participants are required to dress professionally and use DCG video backgrounds during their presentations, including wearing their formal DCG white coats. The competition is divided into two stages:

  1. Preliminary Viewing and Scoring of Video Summaries:
Judges will be given access to the recording links for each category between April 1st and April 14th. A panel of three judges will review and grade each presentation according to a specific rubric before the Q&A session. Please note, participants who fail to submit their video recording by the deadline of April 1st will be disqualified.

  2. One-on-One Question and Answer Session:
On April 15th, from 12 pm to 1 pm, presenter and the category's three judges will have a “Questions & Answers” session via Microsoft Teams. Each Q&A session will last between 3 and 5 minutes. Participants will be assigned a specific time slot and will receive a calendar invite with details on when to be ready for their TEAMS meeting invitation. To ensure a smooth process, only one presenter will be allowed in the virtual room at any given time.

Scoring and Awards

Judges will evaluate the presentations using a specific rubric with predefined criteria. You can access these rubrics online; please click on the images provided or scan the QR code to view them.

The competition winners will be announced at the award ceremony on April 17th, marking the end of the SeDR Symposium. Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top three winners, with the amounts differing based on their placement: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

  • All the participants will receive a certificate.
  • Monetary awards will be given to the three highest scoring poster presentations in each of the competing groups.
