Comparing BMD results between two similar DEXA systems

The purpose of this study is to analyze the agreement between Hologic Discovery and Hologic Horizon in measurements of body composition parameters and develop conversion equations to allow data obtained using these two models to be combined. We also aim to test whether age, gender and body size could affect the differences between these two models. The specific aims are (1) to develop conversion equations for the body composition parameters measured by the two models of Hologic DXA machine; and (2) to test whether age, gender and body size (i.e. body mass index) can impact the conversion equations.
