Psychological Flexibility and Changes in Functioning in an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Group for Stage 2 DBT Patients

This research will assess whether participating in an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) group is associated with improvements for people with severe emotion dysregulation problems that have already completed a skills training group and need additional services. We predict that ACT, which is known to be helpful for a wide range of psychological problems, will also be helpful as a second stage of treatment for people with severe emotion dysregulation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Inclusion: Adults Have completed a standard Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills training group Participating in the ACT Group for Stage 2 DBT group in the AU Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior.
