(MET42) Immunogenicity and Safety Study of an Investigational Quadrivalent Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine when Administered Concomitantly with Routine Pediatric Vaccines in Healthy Infants and Toddlers

This is a study of a new vaccine designed for newborns. It will be given at the same time as other childhood vaccines. It is designed to protect against meningococcal disease. This disease can include meningitis, pneumonia, and a blood infection and can lead to death or disabilities even with treatment. This study is to see how safe and effective this new vaccine is when it is given in this way.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Inclusion Criteria: 1) Infants who are 42 to 89 days old on the day of the first study visit 2) Infants that were born at full term of pregnancy (at least 37 weeks) and with a birth weight ? 2.5 kg 3) Infant does not have any medical conditions and is not sick on the day of the first study visit 4) Infant has not received any of several immunizations prior to enrolling
