"A Slapstick tour that's as hysterical as it is historical"

“What the “Daily Show” might be like if it were hosted by the Marx Brothers.”
- Robert Nesti – Boston Herald

We open the 2016/2017 Lyceum Series in honor of the upcoming election, with the Reduced Shakespeare Company (RSC).  Who will be our next President -- Donald Trump? Hillary Clinton? Kim Kardashian? In The Complete History of America (abridged): Election Edition the RSC will provide the historical context that is guaranteed to confuse any American voter. Just in time for the 2016 Presidential Election, the Reduced Shakespeare Company returns with 600 Years of History in 6000 seconds! The "bad boys of abridgment" go from Christopher Columbus to Neil Armstrong, from George Washington to Barack Obama, yea verily from the Bering Strait to Baghdad, from the New World to New World Order. It's a ninety minute roller coaster ride through the glorious quagmire that is American History.

And in this Election Edition, the presidential frontrunners (and who knows, maybe the President himself!) may just put in an appearance to answer audience questions: Who really discovered America? How old was John McCain at the beginning of the Civil War? How many Democrats does it take to screw in a light bulb?

History is normally written by the winners... now it's the RSC's turn.

In the spirit of Shakespeare himself, RSC shows contain some occasional bawdy language and innuendo. All children (and parents) are different, so we've chosen to rate our shows PG-13: Pretty Good If You're Thirteen.
