Andria Thomas, PhD Interim Senior Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education
Dr. Thomas is currently serving as both the Interim Senior Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education and the Associate Dean for Evaluation, Accreditation, and CQI. She is a clinical psychologist by training, but has focused much of her career on program evaluation. She received her PhD from the University of Toledo and completed her internship and fellowship in MCG’s Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior. Dr. Thomas is an active member of the AAMC’s Southern Group on Educational Affairs and was previously the chair of that group’s Medical Education Scholarship Research and Evaluation (MESRE) section. She has been a member of the MCG faculty for 16 years and plays an active role in many school and institutional committees. Most recently, she served as the Faculty Accreditation Lead for the school’s successful LCME site visit, which resulted in full eight-year accreditation.
