Testing & Disability Services is located on the first floor of Galloway Hall on the Summerville campus. TDS houses a testing lab, independent testing rooms, as well as administrative offices.
We provide services to students with a variety of disabilities including: Acquired Brain Injuries, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Communication Disorders, Hearing Impairment, Learning Disabilities, Mobility Impairment, Psychological Disorders, Systemic Medical Disorders, and Visual Impairment. We also provide testing services for career certifications, proctoring for students enrolled in online or distance education courses, and administration of assessments for admission into undergraduate and graduate education programs.
The mission of Testing and Disability Services is to be responsive to the needs of our students, members of the community, and to the staff and faculty. In meeting these needs this office provides an informative, reliable, and accessible location for all interested parties to receive and participate in standardized and independent testing related to the pursuit of an education or testing related to career advancement.
This office also ensures equal access to academics and campus-sponsored activities for students with disabilities and promotes positive community efforts for individuals with disabilities. Ensuring equal access to these activities serves to maximize the potential of students to benefit from and contribute to Augusta University's academic environment and diverse community.
