Second look is an opportunity to allow accepted but committed applicants, who identify as being underrepresented in medicine to learn more about the Medical College of Georgia as well as to interact closely with underrepresented in medicine faculty and students in a more intimate setting.
The weekend is a good chance for students to learn more about our 6—week summer Prematriculation Pathway Program, ask questions about the medical program, learn and see first -hand housing options on campus and in the Augusta community, meet and greet some of the class deans and other faculty members that will guide you through this medical journey, tours and much more!
This event takes place each year in March at our J Harold Harrison, M.D. Education Commons building on the Health Science Campus. There will be a Campus revisit day following Second Look, hosted by our MCG Admissions Office.
For many of our current students, attending Second Look Day led them to solidifying their decision to enroll and matriculate at the Medical College of Georgia.
We will be hosting our 2025 Second Look Event Day on March 7, 2025, located at our J Harold Harrison, M.D. Education Commons. This event is by invitation only.
Students will receive additional information via email.
For more information about this event, please contact our program managers, Ms. Lauren Clayton or Ms. Connie Hamlett at mcg_belonging_inclusivity@augusta.edu.
We can't wait to welcome you to our MCG family!
