Graduate Assistant Processing


The following process for selecting, approving and implementing Graduate Assistantship positions distinguishes responsibilities between each of the three primary departments: the Program/Department, The Graduate School and Human Resources. Important Deadlines

November 11, 2016: GA Recommendation and Approval Forms for Spring 2017 term due to The Graduate School


General Graduate Assistantship Recommendation and Approval Process
  1. Department/Program: Complete the Graduate Assistantship Recommendation and Approval Form & Submit to The Graduate School.
  2. The Graduate School: For approved assistantships, initiate all new hire/reappointment/termination ePARs and work with student and HR to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  3. Department/Program: Identify time-keeper for each program/department/college to enter and approve time in TimeNet. Run the time card report for each GA and send to TGS by the 5th day of the following month. (e.g. – Report for August time is due September 5th)
