GradGuide is a job-shadowing experience that provides students the opportunity for a glimpse into a potential future career! Not only is this a chance to gain knowledge from field-experts, but it is also an excellent networking opportunity with mentors right here on campus.
" It’s exciting to engage with talented students pursuing a myriad of career paths. Hearing their aspirations, discussing pros/cons, and offering new possibilities is a way to live the “I Give” spirit."
- B. Lyman, PhD, Associate General Counsel and GradGuide Mentor
"The GradGuide experience offered opportunities for me to learn from various individuals within leadership roles across the AU campuses. The conversations I shared with each mentor provided insight into future positions that I may be interested in and what is involved in being successful within those roles. I'm thankful for having the opportunity to participate in this unique experience, as it has given me an enlightening look into what I hope to achieve. "
-K. Denney, Graduate Student in the Doctor of Philosophy with a Major in Neuroscience program

Words of wisdom, inspiration, advice - and a new white coat!
The Graduate School Scientific Integrity Ceremony is a meaningful, annual tradition at Augusta University. During their first year in the program, each PhD student is presented with a white coat as a symbol of the high standards of integrity and professionalism expected as a student and throughout their scientific careers. The program includes remarks from special guests and Graduate School faculty award winners who reflect on the fundamental values of honesty, integrity, and professionalism in relation to their own personal experiences and career path.
The hooding and commencement ceremony recognizes and celebrates our graduate students who have successfully completed their degree requirements. It is a formal graduation ceremony, where students are called to the stage and have their hood placed on their shoulders and then receive their diploma. There are two ceremonies per year, one at the end of the Spring semester (for spring graduates) and the other at the end of the Fall Semester (for summer and fall graduates).
