Our Research

To improve overall health and reduce the burden of illness in society, The Dental College of Georgia works in collaboration with other units of Augusta University and the University System of Georgia to perform innovative, multidisciplinary research in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and oral health related diseases.

Multifaceted research allows expertise from many areas to synergize, which in turn promotes clinical advancement and excellence.   Center membership includes faculty from the Dental College of Georgia who are involved in basic, translational and clinical research.

Collaboration

Additionally, CERSI assists in the recruitment of talented research-oriented faculty, works in collaboration with other institutional units to identify funding sources for research,  facilitates development and integration of research programs, and provide support for all aspects of research on diseases of the orofacial complex.
