Course: ACLS Heartcode Online Key & Skills Check-Off

An alternative to traditional, classroom-based ACLS training, the self-directed HeartCode(TM) ACLS eLearning program uses eSimulation technology to let students participate in realistic patient scenarios, assess patients, and formulate treatment -- online and at their own pace. As they train, an evaluation mechanism and intelligent debriefing provide students with immediate and objective feedback on whether their actions were correct or incorrect, and offer suggestions for improvement. Other features include the ability to treat multiple rhythms (megacode) in the same scenario; a new respiratory arrest case; a new code clock; a team dynamics lesson; a pre-course self-assessment that helps students gauge their knowledge of ECG recognition and pharmacology; access to patient scenarios and text material for up to two years; and the full text (in PDF form) of the ACLS Provider Manual. Approved by the Accreditation Department for Continuing Education for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, and EM providers by their respective credentialing bodies (ACCME, AACN, ACPE, and CECBEMS). This Web-based eLearning program provides the cognitive portion (Part 1) of the ACLS course. Upon completion of Part 1, students must pass skills practice (Part 2) and testing (Part 3) with a certified American Heart Association instructor to qualify for an ACLS provider course card. This course is not compatible with Mac(R) computers. Please include an e-mail address when ordering. The access key and instructions on how to log in and register for the course will be e-mailed to you, usually within 1 to 2 business days. Students are allowed up to 60 days after the completion of the online part of the course to complete the skills session.

NOTE: You must purchase one online access key for each student trained. Parts 2 and 3 are included in the price of this item.
