Curriculum Revision FAQs

Curriculog Frequently Asked Questions

Many common questions arise when users are working with Curriculog. Please refer to the questions below for information regarding how to use Curriculog with more confidence and ease.  If you have additional questions or concerns please email the Curriculum Systems Team at curriculog@augusta.edu

  • What browser should I use when accessing Curriculog?

Answer: At this present time, always use Internet Explorer.  Mac users, please use Safari. We are working with IT to resolve this issue.
  • Can multiple users work on proposals simultaneously?

Answer: As long as the users have access to edit a proposal and are on the same step, users are able to edit simultaneously.
  • If a step requires 100% approval, and one individual rejects, will the proposal move on to the previous step or will all participants have the opportunity to provide input?

Answer: If 5 people vote to approve, and 1 votes to reject -the proposal will move in the workflow, based on the fact that majority rules. Users will be able to collaborate and make adjustments to the proposal until they can make a unanimous decision.
  • Is there a limit to the number of times a proposal may be re-launched?

Answer:  No. There is no time limit.
  • When importing courses from Acalog, will all courses in the Catalog be available regardless of status (both active AND inactive courses)?

Answer: No. Curriculog will pull information from Active catalog.
  • Why can't I change the hierarchy item after I have launched my proposal?

Answer: The hierarchy will determine the users that will be brought into the Approval Process steps at launch. Once the hierarchy has been selected, and users populated, and the proposal launched - the hierarchy field will no longer be able to be modified.
  • When searching for proposals, I'm not getting the results I expect. When I search for 'All Entities', I receive all items, but when I restrict it to a College, it is showing me limited results. Why?

Answer: When using the search functionality, it is going to be restricted to the entity itself - not all entities within. When searching for a specific proposal, Curriculog brings up ONLY the items that are directly associated with that item - not with all items within.  If you select Hull College of Business, it shows you ONLY those items associated directly within. If you want to see the items within Accounting, you would need to type accounting as the keyword in the keyword text box to see those items.

  • Our Department (Or College) Curriculum Committee has changed. How do we update the members in Curriculog?

Answer: A Curriculog Administrator must add or remove Curriculum Committee Members and Chairs for both the College and Department level. Please have the new Committee Chair email curriculog@augusta.edu with a list of the new members.
  • I cannot track the changes I made to an existing course proposal as the originator. What do I need to do to view the changes?

Answer: Changes to an existing course or program can only be tracked once a proposal has been launched.  First an import of existing catalog information and all required fields of a proposal must be completed, then the proposal must be launched.  Once the proposal is launched the originator may make any changes to the proposal to reflect the information that will be exported back to the catalog pending complete approval. Now all changes can be tracked and viewed by clicking on "Show Current with Markup" under the User Tracking tool. Finally the originator must approve their proposal. All future edits to the proposal will also be automatically tracked as the proposal flows through the approval process.
  • I forgot my PIN what do I do?

Answer: You can view your PIN by logging in to Curriculog, Click on "My Settings" under your name in the upper right. Scroll to the bottom of your Account Summary and Click on "View PIN".  If you do not have a Signature PIN or you would like to change it please email curriculog@augusta.edu
  • I have proposals to review but why can't I see them in Curriculog?

Answer: First be sure you are logged into Curriculog.  If you are not logged in the word "Login" will be visible in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
