Your Future
Graduates of the Computer Science program can become software developers, computer network architects, web developers and software engineers.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median pay for a computer network architect is $120,000 per year. Job growth for software developers is at 22%, which is much faster than average.
Learning Like No Other
Proximity to industry experts at the 332,000 sq. ft. Georgia Cyber Center increases internship and networking opportunities by putting you shoulder-to-shoulder with professionals in the field.
As a designated Center of Academic Excellence in the area of cyber defense, Augusta University is home to the Center for Cybersecurity.
Student activities like the Cyber Defense Team and the Upsilon Pi Epsilon honor society give students opportunities to network with their peers as well as put their skills to the test in hacking competitions.

“Augusta University is uniquely equipped to cultivate the next generation of data scientists," said Alexander Schwarzmann, PhD, dean of SCCS.
“I went to Augusta University, I know how many talented people go there. I was surprised how much reach we got. We have people from Boston, people that graduated and left the Augusta area who submitted work and mailed it to us. That was kind of cool," said Heather Rene Dunaway.
“The strategic development of the cybersecurity transfer pathway creates new opportunities for students from all Technical College System of Georgia institutions."
