Doctor of Nursing Practice in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

The College of Nursing offers the first Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Adult Gerontology Acute Care Advanced Practice Nursing (APN) program in the state of Georgia!

The DNP-Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (DNP-AGACNP) concentration offers education to become board-eligible as an Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP).  This concentration prepares nurses to provide advanced patient-family centered care in settings with acute and/or chronically ill patients across the adult lifespan.  Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

DNP-Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program

 The DNP-Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (DNP-AGACNP) concentration educates nurses to become board-eligible as an Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP).  The DNP programs are approved by the Georgia Board of Regents as a web-based program with greater than 50 percent of the program taught on-line.  Cohort locations are on our Augusta and Athens campus.  Clinical rotations are typically completed within Georgia.
