In the endeavor to provide better and more efficient Mail Services, we have decided to partner with Innovative Service Technology (IST) to implement an enhanced mailroom solution. IST has over 17 years of experience specializing in mail room, copy center and general office support services.

IST is also known for its ground-breaking advances in mail and support services technology through automation of previously manual processes using proprietary software & systems. This will result in better service to you!  For more information, please visit the IST website.

The benefits Augusta University/Augusta University Health will realize from this enhanced model include:

  • Access to IST’s world-class capabilities with a broad knowledge base in the area of mailroom management
  • Staff utilization of technology to streamline processes, track requests and provide reporting
  • Higher level support with a concierge type level of service
  • Increased ability for managers and administrative staff to focus on core duties
  • On-call support availability for large mail and copy projects
  • Service excellence
  • Professional management
  • Increased accountability and reporting

What you can expect as we welcome and incorporate IST staff onto our Augusta University/ Augusta University Health team.

  • IST staff have been on site for a 5 week period. During this time they have documented our processes and help us to incorporate best practices and streamline processes where possible.
  • We may see changes to the roles we currently have and potentially the individuals in those roles. IST will communicate any changes where appropriate.
  • The official day one of operations will take place on January 12th and we will share any information that you may need to know in a follow up communication.
  • Questions, comments or concerns regarding the Mail Services should be directed to Thomas Kirkbride at 706-721-3996 or David White at 706-721-2988.

We are excited to be moving forward with this new model and anticipate little or no interruption in service as we go through the transition.

Note: No personal incoming mail or packages are permitted through Mail Services.
