The Fire Safety Office is responsible for coordinating and reporting on- campus activities associated with Fire and Life Safety, focusing on fire and accident prevention for the Augusta University.
Established in 1973 as a unit of the Public Safety Division, the Fire Safety Office is now a part of the Environmental Health & Safety Division providing comprehensive fire and life safety programs for the institution. The Fire Safety Office specializes in fire safety, accident / injury statistics, and provides expertise in the areas of NFPA codes and standards.
The Fire Safety Office works under the Associate Vice President of Environmental Health & Safety, staffed with a workforce of three which include: a Fire Safety Specialist , and a Fire Safety Manager.
