Starting fall semester of 2020, Augusta University’s (AU) College of Science and Mathematics
will be offering scholarships to qualified students majoring in Biology, Cell and
Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, Mathematics, or Physics. These scholarships
are funded through the National Science Foundation (NSF) program Scholarships in Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) award 1930341.
AU students who have completed introductory courses in their major (BIOL 1108, CHEM 1212, MATH 2012, or PHYS 2212) with an A or B, are in good academic standing (minimum GPA of 3.0) and meet financial eligibility requirements are eligible to receive scholarships for up to $8,000 per academic year. Scholarships can be renewed for up to two years if eligibility is maintained.
This scholarship program has a number of special features designed to help students succeed in their chosen major and move on to the STEM workforce or graduate school in their chosen discipline.
Underrepresented minorities and female students are strongly encouraged to apply.
