The Public Safety Division was established in 1973 to provide professional law enforcement for Augusta University. Today, the division provides the following services:
The men and women of the Public Safety Division are dedicated to service excellence through partnerships that reduce crime, create a safe and secure community environment in which the Augusta University may achieve its mission of education, research, and patient care. The Division is committed to delivering quality service to our community in an effective, responsive and professional manner.
The Public Safety Division reports to the Office of the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration. Public Safety is composed of an Administration Section, the Augusta University Police Department, and Contractor Badging & Key Control.
PSD Administration provides leadership, logistical and operational support to facilitate divisional services to meet the needs of the Augusta University Community.
Contractor Badging & Key Control is responsible for issuing Contractor ID Badges and keys.
