In order to welcome elected officials, dignitaries, international guests, and elevate Augusta University's profile on the state, federal, and international stages, the Office of Protocol and Special Events created the Augusta University Protocol Guide.

The guide is intended to serve as a resource, providing support for community economic developers, local officials, and any Augusta University unit hosting international visitors and dignitaries, planning an event, or researching and learning about protocol fundamentals.

It also answers questions frequently asked of our office and should help those preparing for official (and unofficial) occasions and functions. The Augusta University Protocol Guide is based on the information contained in The State of Georgia Protocol Guide that was produced by the Georgia Department of Development International Relations division.
