Opera at Augusta University

The Opera and Musical Theater Ensemble (MUSI 4610) is the performing ensemble of the Augusta University American Opera and Musical Theater. Participation is by audition and permission. If interested in performing with us, please email Dr. Christina Amonson at camonson@augusta.edu.

Augusta University Opera EnsembleOpera at Augusta University strives to provide a unique, artistic educational program to train and prepare young vocal talent for professional careers in musical theater and opera performance. We offer a program of excellence reflected in distinct talent, vocal passion, and performance quality. The Institute creates exciting performance opportunities for students, faculty, and members of our community by collaborating with internationally renowned musicians, providing a professional level of experience by producing fully staged operatic and musical theater works.

In a unique collaboration with the Departments of Otolaryngology and Kinesiology at Augusta University, we offer instruction in the proper maintenance of a healthy voice and the health and wellness of the body.
