Kate Jenkins is the director of the Augusta University Music Conservatory Program. Kate holds Bachelor of Music in music education degree from Ithaca College and a Master of Music degree in trombone performance from the University of Georgia. As a trombone player, Kate performs regularly with the Augusta Symphony Orchestra, the Lyra Vivace Chamber Orchestra, the Crescent Brass Quintet, and the Garden City Bones. Before moving to the Augusta area, Kate lived in Charleston, SC where she played with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra and was the adjunct professor of low brass at Charleston Southern University. In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband Todd, their son Will, and their many pets.
