The Arts Incubator is a new living-learning community (LLC) based in Oak Hall. It is open to incoming arts-interested freshmen of any major.

Applications have closed for the 2018-19 academic year.


The Arts Incubator provides students with unique opportunities to explore the arts and hone their creativity through shared living and learning experiences in the local community and beyond, including a Study Away experience in Washington, D.C.  Arts Incubator participants are empowered to unlock their creative potential and make lifelong friends.

An Immersive Arts Experience with Lasting Benefits

The Arts Incubator experience is designed to leave a lasting impression on the lives of our students, with courses and event experiences tailored specifically to those interested in any aspect of the arts.

As Oak Hall residents and members of the Arts Incubator, students will:

  • Enjoy guaranteed placement in housing with fellow arts-interested students.
  • Benefit from a shared learning experience with a reserved seat in COMM 1100 (Human Communication) for Fall 2018 and ART 2010 (The Marvel of Art) for Spring 2019.
  • Socialize and build close relationships with your classmates and professors.
  • Participate in arts-related events in the Augusta community, including planning, production, and management within the local arts industry.

A Unique Study Away Experience Included!

In addition to all of the opportunities available to explore the local arts industry and community within Augusta's River Region, members of the Arts Incubator are automatically eligible for a Study Away experience in Washington, D.C., during the Spring 2019 semester.

This unique chance to explore the world-renowned arts culture of the nation's capital is designed exclusively for Arts Incubator participants, ensuring that our students get an immersive arts-focused education that will stay with them long after they graduate.
