The 54th Annual Primary Care and Family Medicine Symposium is presented by Augusta University Faculty. The Course directors are Laura L. Mulloy, DO, FACP, Section Chief and Professor of Medicine (Nephrology, Hypertension and Transplant Medicine) and Allen L. Pelletier, MD, FAAFP, Professor of Family Medicine.


The symposium should prepare participants to:

  • Review advances in treating diseases commonly seen by primary care providers
  • Outline practical evidence-based approaches for diagnosis and management that reflect advances in treatment
  • Use evidence-based recommendations for optimal treatment of: Cancers, infections disease, orthopedic, acute and chronic medical conditions across the age spectrum

Target Audience

This course will present a brad spectrum of material to family medicine physicians and other specialists who focus on primary medical care. Many physicians regularly attend this course, so topics rotate and change yearly. The presentations emphasize differential diagnosis and management strategies.

This is an excellent way to prepare for recertification or to review for certifying examinations. The comprehensive syllabus with references is a solid resource for clinicians and office staff.


Current rates for self parking are $7.00 per vehicle, per day, with unlimited in and out privilege. Parking charges are the responsibility of each individual. Should guests be staying overnight the charges will post to each guest’s room portfolio. Valet parking is $18.00. Rates are subject to change.
