Program Description

The Pre-matriculation Program is a 6-week summer program for incoming medical  students who have been accepted at the Medical College of Georgia. The program is designed to help prepare students for the first year of health professional school. This intensive academic program focuses on content knowledge, skill development, networking and adjustment through a variety of courses, guest lectures, social activities, workshops, and hands-on activities.

Pre-matriculation is by invitation only and intended for students meeting one or more of the following criteria:

  • Identify as an Under-represented Minority in Medicine (URMM)
  • Non-science major/background
  • Identified as at-risk based on academic history
