Hello, my name is Obi and I am from Long Island, NY. I majored in Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh, and attended American University of the Caribbean for medical school. I chose psychiatry because it is the discipline I most identify with. My hobbies include music, basketball, and boxing.

I am originally from Cincinnati, OH and grew up as a military brat. I attended high school in Okinawa, Japan (an awesome experience!) and Gainesville, VA is my home for now. After originally matching into radiology and doing an internal medicine preliminary internship, I spent four years at the University of Miami in the student affairs department. When I first visited our program, I immediately knew Augusta University was a perfect fit for me. The faculty are engaging and supportive; and my peers are a diverse group of accomplished individuals. I am enjoying Augusta so far and looking forward to discover more of what the city has to offer!

Hobbies: Yoga, Reading, Spirituality

I’m from a small town in northern California, where I grew up cheering for the Raiders, A’s, and – yes – the world champion Golden State Warriors.  The Medical College of Georgia attracted me with its brilliant faculty and close-knit resident class.  Within psychiatry, I’m interested in Veterans’ mental health and narrative medicine.  In my free time, I enjoy jogging along the bucolic Savannah River, listening to live Irish music in the Fox’s Lair on Telfair Street, taking questionable mulligans in the golf capital of the world, and video-chatting with Luka (my family’s German Shepherd back in California).  I’m thankful to be at MCG and I can’t wait to find my niche in medicine’s most captivating specialty.

Hi! My name is Ozy and I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. I attended University of Maryland, College Park and graduated with a BS in Behavioral and Community health and a minor in Human Development. I also attended Ross University School of Medicine.

I chose Psychiatry because I felt like it was the discipline that I fell most in love with during third year.  I also love that the field of Psychiatry is forever growing, and that Psychiatrist are able to help patient’s to have a better quality of life once they are diagnosed and treated.  After graduating from residency, I see myself working in an outpatient and inpatient facility.

In my free time I love to cook, watch television, online shopping, spend time with my puppy and travel.

Hi, I’m Ethan Wohl, a psychiatry resident here at MCG. I’m originally from Charlotte, NC, but have lived in Asheville, NC and Atlanta, GA for my education.  My undergraduate background was in neuroscience, so psychiatry felt like a good fit during medical school. I became interested in the program here after completing the Neurostimulation elective as an away rotation. I met with many residents and attendings during that time, and all were extremely warm and welcoming. MCG seemed to have a strong academic culture and teaching was encouraged, especially with the associated medical school.

Hobbies: rock climbing, swimming, all kinds of games (board, video, tabletop), playing with my dog.
Academic interests: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Neurostimulation

Hi! I'm originally from Houston TX but have grown to love Augusta. The city is very affordable and many residents, myself included, are first time home owners. I chose this program after participating in the Neurostimulation elective, which was my first experience with ECT and TMS.  My experience as an intern has been great as well. Upper level residents and attendings have been supportive and eager to teach.  Thanks for taking a look at our program!

Hobbies: Rock Climbing, Fishing, Woodworking
