Hello, I grew up in Colorado Springs, CO and moved to Columbus, GA when I was a sophomore in high school. Since then, I call Georgia home. I stayed in Columbus for undergrad and worked in the R&D division of a local chemistry plant before moving to Augusta for medical school and residency. I enjoy hiking and biking the local trails and kayaking along the Savannah river. I earned my pilot’s license in high school and enjoy fair weather flying over Augusta’s area or hopping to a nearby airfield for a burger. I’m currently working toward my IFR rating and hope to use my license to provide care in rural areas around Georgia. I have an interest in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and look forward to taking advantage of all opportunities Augusta University has for pursuing this field.

Welcome! I am excited that you are considering our program! I was born in Vizag, India. While growing up, I was fortunate to have had the experience of moving often between Southern India, New Jersey, Georgia, and Massachusetts. I have a undergraduate degree in Basic Sciences from Manipal University, India.  Throughout this journey, I had the pleasure of living in Manipal, Brooklyn, Upstate New York, and Atlanta. After graduating medical school, I spent some time in the Poconos in Northeast Pennsylvania, working at a comprehensive free clinic. My time so far in the program has been very nurturing with a comfortable balance between autonomy and support. My interests include Consultation & Liaison Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent, Forensic Psychiatry, Neurostimulation, Sleep Medicine, and Integration of Psychiatry in Primary Care. While not at work, I like to cook, play tennis, kayak, keep up with the NBA/NFL (Go Patriots!), hang out with my chill co-residents, and explore new places opening up in Augusta as it continues to grow.

Hola! I was born in Milagro, Ecuador and was raised in Hollywood, Florida. I attended Nova Southeastern University where I graduated with a B.S. in Biology with minors in English and Leadership. I attended medical school in Virginia and fell in love with psychiatry during clinical rotations and international mission trips. I have special interests in child and adolescent psychiatry, outreach, and the integration of faith and psychiatry. I’ve really enjoyed exploring Augusta’s great local restaurants, market at the river on Saturdays, and its beautiful parks to name a few of my favorite things to do here. In my free time I enjoy watching shows, journaling, reading, traveling, and eating tacos. I’m thankful to be here for residency training because we have faculty that are highly invested in teaching us, the diverse training opportunities, and a close-knit group of residents.

Hey everyone! I was born and raised in Miami, Florida! After attending medical school up north I decided that the cold weather was not for me (obviously, I am from Florida), so I am very happy and fortunate to attend such a great residency program in warm and sunny Georgia! My hobbies include classical piano, playing tennis, relaxing at the movies, going to the beach (it’s a Florida thing) and traveling whenever time allows! I have been around the world twice and Asia is definitely one of my favorite continents to explore! My areas of interest in psychiatry include geriatric psychiatry, education and tele-psychiatry.  My time here thus far has been excellent! The faculty, staff and senior residents have been very welcoming and I feel the resident community overall is very supportive of each other. Augusta, Georgia is a great place to live with diverse activities, excellent food and southern-charm!

Hi! I'm from Newnan, Georgia. I did my undergrad at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, and relocated to Augusta for medical school and residency. I chose psychiatry because I found the mind fascinating as I feel this is what defines a person. During my psychiatry rotations, I really enjoyed working with the residents and faculty and extremely happy to be able to continue residency training here.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, and tinkering with computers.

Hello! I’m a Georgia native born and raised in Savannah and went to the University of Georgia and graduated with a degree in Biology. I attended medical school here and did my clinical rotations at the Savannah/Savannah surrounding teaching sites. I found my interest in psychiatry during my clerkship. I enjoy psychiatry because of the ample opportunities to work with patients facing great barriers to care and to help lessen the great need for psychiatrists in our society. I have a great interest in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, but I am open to the other various fellowship options our field has available.  The faculty and my fellow co-residents here are great. Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing video and board games, dungeons and dragons, long boarding, and crocheting.

Hi everyone! I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela.  After completing medical school in Venezuela, I  stayed there  for a couple of years working as a primary care physician.  I then moved to the United States and had the opportunity to be involved in clinical rotations and research projects before starting psychiatry residency training. I have found the staff here very supportive and knowledgeable, and everyone tries to make you feel at home.  The city is lovely, with plenty of outdoors activities to offer and many nearby places to discover. I enjoy going to the beach, playing soccer and spending time with family, friends and my dog. Thank you for looking into our program!
