The American Board of Addiction Medicine Fellowship, is a one year fellowship directed by William S. Jacobs, MD. Dr. Jacobs is a board certified expert in addiction, pain and anesthesiology who has been asked to provide his expertise to the White House, DEA and other regional and state agencies. Addiction training takes place at both the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) and at the MCG affiliated Bluff Plantation residential treatment facility. Training is provided in the full spectrum of addiction care from withdrawal management through residential, partial hospitalization to outpatient treatment. Trainees will be given the opportunity to attend and present at the annual American Society of Addiction Medicine annual meeting.
