Dr. Tracie Sponseller joined the Augusta University Ophthalmology Department in 2004.   In addition, she is the optometric director of EyeCare One Laser Vision Center with offices in Augusta, Aiken and Beaufort. Dr. Sponseller performs comprehensive optometric examinations, fits contact lenses cosmetically (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, bifocals, monovision, and cosmetic tints) and therapeutically (corneal scarring, pediatric aphakia, keratoconus and corneal transplants).

Summary: An Optometrist is an eye care provider who specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system, the eyes, and associated structures, including the diagnosis of related systemic conditions.

Care areas:Glasses, therapeutic contact lenses (e.g. after corneal transplantation), routine contact lenses.
