The General Internal Medicine Faculty Practice at Augusta University Health seeks to offer our patients comprehensive, evidence-based care. Our goal is to forge a relationship with each patient, founded upon mutual respect between patient and physician, ideally leading to improved health and wellbeing.
Preventive measures are strongly emphasized as we hope to keep our patients healthy, happy, and productive. These services include annual physical exams, appropriate screening exams and labs, and diet/exercise programs. Our board-certified physicians are also trained to take care of chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, and thyroid disorders. If subspecialist treatment is required, we are happy to provide referrals to these colleagues as appropriate. The practice also offers two physicians specializing in geriatrics to assist in the care of our elderly patients.
