John Erikson L. Yap, MD
After earning his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, Dr. Yap completed his Internal Medicine residency at Cook County Health and Hospital System in Chicago, Illinois. He stayed an additional year to be the internal medicine chief medical resident and completed his gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at the same institution. Dr. Yap is a member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association, American Association of the Study of Liver Disease and American Society of Gastroentrointestinal Endoscopy. He has also accomplished publications in different fields of gastroenterology and hepatology.
