Prevention Science and Outcomes Research (PSOR)

The primary goal of this Division is to facilitate translation of health disparities research in to practice by conducting clinical (e.g., medical, dental) and applied studies. Contained within this Division is the Georgia Prevention Center (GPC). The GPC is a research unit with the primary mission to conduct high-quality, innovation research for health promotion and disease prevention, which advances knowledge and fosters better health in all persons. PSOR’s programmatic focus is the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Round Table, with researchers committed and make informed health care decisions, allowing their voices to be heard in assessing the value of health care options.
