The Center for Bioethics and Health Policy at Augusta University is composed of faculty and staff from seven colleges within the University as well as patient advocates and community representatives from across Georgia and South Carolina. This quilt of dedicated individuals has enabled the Center to approach bioethical and health policy issues from multiple perspectives. A select group of medical students (Leadership Through Ethics) has provided significant input into the educational program as have clinical bedside nurses who have become Clinical Instructors in the Medical College of Georgia. The Center is egalitarian, therefore, it makes no distinction between members on the basis of their time commitment to the program. This approach has empowered all to be able to take a position on questions as they arise and contribute to the uniqueness of our Center.
