REQUIREMENTS FOR AN INTERNSHIP TO BE CONSIDERED FOR COURSE CREDIT:

  • Meet the criteria of an internship as defined by the National Association of Colleges & Employers.

  • Minimum of 120 onsite hours in a semester.

  • Duties/project(s) are relevant to the student’s degree and concentration.

  • An “experience” has been submitted in Handshake providing information for the student’s obtained or created internship. See “additional resources” below for assistance in creating an “experience” in Handshake.

  • Enrollment in BUSA 4960 (Undergraduate Internship Course) pending permission to enroll. Permission, for students to enroll, is granted when the “experience” is approved in Handshake.

HULL INTERNSHIP INFORMATION SESSIONS:

Internship Information Sessions are offered several times each semester. Dates are published in the Hire Hull newsletter and Handshake Events.

Internships should be obtained no later than midterm of the semester prior to the student beginning the internship.

STUDENT INTERNSHIP INTEREST FORM:

The student internship interest form provides the Career Advisor with information necessary to assist you in your internship opportunity search. It is recommended that the student complete the form early during their junior year.
