Your future starts now!
The Augusta University College of Science and Math is excited to offer this new 2-year, 36 credit hour, Master of Science degree in Biological and Computational Mathematics. The program includes a strong experiential component in the form of seminars as well as a graduate project course where students have the opportunity to conduct original research in applied mathematics. The expertise of the faculty includes many applications in the biomedical fields. Graduates of the program will be well-equipped to use a variety of methods to construct mathematical models in order to solve real-world problems, especially those problems of an interdisciplinary nature. The nature and breadth of the curriculum allows students to enter jobs in industry or to enter Ph.D. programs in Applied Mathematics.
"This is an exciting and unique new graduate program in mathematics. Students in the
program will gain a solid working knowledge of applied mathematics, and the program’s
emphasis on applications in the biosciences gives it a unique focus.”
