About the Program

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The MCTS program is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to become leaders in translational research efforts within their respective fields. Now more than ever, clinical investigators and health care professionals rely on a quantitative approach to performing not only research, but also methodologically sound decision making within their clinical domains.  Our program integrates research study design with analysis and interpretation by providing education in clinical trials, observational studies, biostatistics, and epidemiology.

Two different elective tracks, Health Economics and Analytics Track or the Health Data Science Track, allow the student to design a program that best fits their needs. The MCTS program aims to ensure that its graduates will possess the necessary competencies to apply quantitative reasoning across the spectrum of health care research and delivery via the application of methods learned in the program. Graduates of this program will have the necessary skills to develop a clinical and translational research and obtain funding to further their research career.

Meet The CO-Program DirectorS

" The MCTS program at AU gives clinicians the ability to delve into research about the disease, demographic, social, and economic processes that influence the patients they care for.  Knowing the most appropriate research tools to use aids in discovery of improvements to health care which helps not only the health of the individual, but the public at large.”
