Do you need quiet time to write, touch up a manuscript, review an article or chapter, or write a grant proposal?
The Writing Circle provides you with time to move forward on your writing project. At the meeting, you set your goal(s) to be completed by the end of the semester. We will find a location for members of the circle to meet and work. Also, we will provide support (i.e. snacks) for the efforts of circle members.

The Office of Faculty Development and Teaching Excellence holds a Writers and Scholars Retreat twice a year to foster a productive, collegial atmosphere of scholarship and research. This is an opportunity for faculty members to work for a few days on scholarly projects that need focused attention. These efforts are most likely to require a focus on writing – for publication or to produce a grant proposal. Participants will be expected to make significant progress on a specific project, progress that can be reported during and at the end of the retreat.
