InspirinG Men of Color in Education Initiative

A response to a growing national crisis — the absence of a critical mass of racially diverse educators to meet the needs of America’s increasingly diverse primary and secondary classrooms. This summit hopes to encourage and involve minority males in the field of education.

Mission Statement:

It is the mission of the Inspiring Men of Color in Education Initiative to form an inclusive network of community and academic partners focused on the recruitment, retention, and support of minority males in the field of K-12 education.

Vision Statement:

Providing the inspiration, motivation, resources and support necessary to attract increasingly large numbers of minority males to enter, remain, and advance in the field of education.
