Snippets are pre-formatted HTML and CSS code that can be inserted onto a page via selection menus. Once the snippet is inserted onto a page, the on-page content can be edited without affecting the original snippet.
Snippets are created by Web Services. Any requests for snippets need to be made through the Web Work Request Form.

To insert a snippet, click the "Insert Snippet" icon on the toolbar. A "Choose Snippet" pop-up box will appear.
Select the snippet to be inserted onto the page, and click "Insert".

Upon selecting a snippet to insert, the snippet will be added to the page. In this example, the "Profile Card [NEW]" snippet has been inserted onto the page. Simply fill out the information requested. If a piece of information is not needed or not available, simply leave that field blank. If you need more rows or fewer rows, right click on the table as you would in a Word document and go down to "Row," where you will see the option to add or delete a row. Using this snippet is the preferred way to feature your department's faculty and/or staff.
Once you have filled out the information, click "Save and Exit." You should see your snippet appear similar to the image below:
Note: If you have 12 faculty members, for example, the "Profile Card [NEW]" snippet will display four rows of three profile cards as long as all 12 rows contain content.

Some snippets can only be used in specific locations on the page, or in specific editable sections. For instance, the "contact-us" snippet should only be used in the "Contact Us" sidebar. You can turn this sidebar on via the Properties tab.
Click the "Contact Us" green edit button to begin editing the sidebar. Once in edit mode, the "contact-us" snippet can be selected.
Upon selecting a snippet to insert, the snippet will be added to the page. In this example, the "contact-us" snippet has been inserted onto the page.
Once inserted into the page, the contact information can be tailored to match the appropriate department.
Save and publish the page in order for the changes to go live on the website.
