The Web Services Team will train new users on how to edit and maintain their pages within OU Campus, our Content Management System. New users can sign up for classes on the DCM Web Training page.
The training sessions will be classified as beginner, intermediate and advanced. They will be scheduled on a monthly basis, depending on the number of requests for training.
The Web Services Team will maintain pages on the website for users to access helpful hints and instructions for performing basic changes to a web page.
Standards: Beginner and Intermediate users will now need to be certified annually. Certification will occur in January of each year. If users are unable to pass the basic web editing test given, they will lose access to their sites in OU Campus and will need to attend a beginner training class in order to qualify to take the test again.
Create levels of access in OU Campus based on the user’s ability.
Classes to instruct web users on how to best utilize Site Improve have been scheduled. Users must register for a Site Improve class on the web training site.
Web Editor Workshops have been scheduled to be offered once a month. These will be hands-on labs at which users can ask questions and receive individual assistance with web issues. Users will need to register for a Web Editor Workshop when they are available.
