Augusta University’s Web Governance framework is administered by the Executive Committee, chaired by the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. The Executive Committee is responsible for setting priorities to facilitate striking a balance between our competing priorities. DCM Web Services technical team concentrates on standards such as performance, accessibility standards, brand standards, responsive design elements, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) efforts, etc.
The AU Home Page Advisory Committee will define the purpose, guiding principles, and KPIs for the Home page (augusta.edu) and other publically available web pages linked from the Home Page. They will assist with the identification of other content that should be constructed as publically available Landing Pages, based on traffic volume and/or institutional intent regardless of whether these are directly linked from the Home Page.
The College/Division Advisory Committee will define the purpose, guiding principles, and KPIs for the publically available web pages for our major academic units (Colleges, Schools, Institutes) and administrative and support divisions/departmental units.
The Intranet Advisory Committee will define the purpose, guiding principles, and KPIs for the internally facing web pages available to active students, faculty and staff focused on improving communication, ease of access to common tools/forms/information, etc.
The Web Operations Advisory Committee will focus on ensuring the tools, resources, guidelines, and training are provided to the distributed web publishers across campus. The Committee will concentrate on user experience, accessibility and technical standards (current and emerging), and standard operating procedures adhering to best practices to manage content.
