Don't want to manage an account but would still like to learn more about social media or share content with the university? DCM offers two programs for students.
Social Jags are an important part of creating and managing Augusta University's online presence. Social Jags capture the everyday student life and campus life in Augusta, nationwide and beyond. Social Jags tell their story not only through their own personal media accounts, but through the mega-phone of Augusta University's online presence to reach their peers and community members. Participating students will be responsible for documenting day-to-day student life with photos and video using programs like Instagram and Snapchat. Social Jags are physical and digital representatives of the values of Augusta University at student actives, sporting events, special events, etc. To see student work, search #SocialJags on Instagram.
DCM offers internship opportunities every semester. Close collaboration with DCM staff provide hands on learning of Media Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, and Social Media skills. Course credit can be given with the approval of a student advisor and department chair, but course credit is not required to participate.
