I am a Texas native born and raised in Dallas, whose undergraduate degree was in vocal performance and communications at Southern Methodist University. As a lyrically-trained soprano and flautist, I was fortunate to have had opportunities to perform on tours in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, as well as Carnegie Hall. I have always loved being a part of various choral and symphonic groups over the years, including the Dallas Symphony Chorus. For medical school, I attended UMHS in St. Kitts and completed my clinical training here in Augusta, a city I embrace and whose people I truly love.  After medical school, I worked as a research assistant at UT Southwestern in movement disorders at the O’Donnell Brain Institute before returning to Augusta to complete a fellowship in suicide prevention at MCG Georgia Cancer Center.  My interests include geriatric and child/adolescent psychiatry.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three rescue Staffordshires, traveling to historical sites, everything and anything fine arts-related, discovering cool local dining spots, and binge-watching true crime documentaries! I am excited and proud to be a part of this wonderful welcoming group of colleagues here at MCG!

"Hello everyone, so happy you are considering joining our program! I grew up in Long Island, NY and moved to Peachtree City, GA when I was 13. I graduated from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs) in 2015 and then moved to Atlanta, GA for medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine- Georgia campus. I selected Psychiatry as my specialty because I make good choices. Also, Psychiatry is the most unique, patient-centered field of medicine there is. Our program allows you to experience all the facets of psychiatry from neurostimulation to psychotherapy to complex medication management and more! There is certainly something for everyone here. My personal interests include geriatric psychiatry and psychopharmacology. When I am not at work, I enjoy taking my Australian shepherd to the many local parks for frisbee, mini road trips to the nearby cities, drinking coffee, and spending time with family and friends. Augusta has a lot of charm and has been growing rapidly in the past few years. There are lots of new restaurants, shopping, and activities to discover. "

"Welcome to MCG Psychiatry! I grew up partly in Fargo, ND but mostly in rural Tifton, GA. I went to Georgia Tech for biomedical engineering as an undergrad and then to Medical College of Georgia for medical school. I chose psychiatry because it's the ONLY field that combines a great work-life balance with the perfect combination of medicine and personal/motivational empowerment for patients. Procedures, labs, and rote memorization become boring quickly, but people and their quirks ALWAYS remain interesting. Every patient's psychopathy, sociopathy, mood disorder, personality disorder, and background present with its own unique flavor requiring tailored therapies whether it's meds, therapy, or a combo. I'm currently interested in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and addiction psychiatry. Outside of work, my interests include Formula 1 racing, traveling, playing the flute, programming, and US/world history."

Hello! My name is Mandeep, and I grew up in a small town in southern Georgia. Once I finished boarding school in Florida, I went straight into medical school in India. Afterward, I spent a few years in Los Angeles working at various psychiatric outpatient clinics before starting residency at AU. I chose psychiatry because it is a fascinating field that gives me the opportunity to help so many people. This program not only offers me the chance to explore my professional interests, such as neurostimulation but it’s also filled with passionate attendings and friendly residents. I enjoy spending free time with my colleagues, trying different restaurants/bars, going to the beach, and doing yoga. I look forward to meeting you!
