ACCREDITATION AND STANDARDS

The Radiation Therapy program at Augusta University is accredited by JRCERT, the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology. Program graduates are eligible to apply for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists national certification exam in Radiation Therapy.

 Accreditation Status: Probation

Objective 6.1 - Lack of assurance that the program maintains the following program effectiveness data: five-year average credentialing examination pass rate of not less than 75 percent at first attempt within six months of graduation.

Due to the five-year first-time pass rate on ARRT certification exam being below the 75% compliance threshold, the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology has placed the radiation therapy program on probationary accreditation. Consistent with JRCERT Policy 10.700, the program must notify currently enrolled and accepted students, as well as the public via a website posting.  The program’s five-year average is currently 74% (29/39).  The annual performance breakdown is shown on the Program Effectiveness Data page.  A progress report documenting compliance with this objective is required by June 17, 2024.
