Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University

Augusta University is the home of the Medical College of Georgia, the state’s flagship medical school and one of the largest in the country with more than 1,100 students at eight campuses across the state.

MCG at Augusta University anchors the university’s academic medical center, encompassing medicine, nursing, dental medicine, allied health professions and public health, along with the Georgia Cancer Center, Children’s Hospital of Georgia and Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center.

Every year, more than 340 new doctors and researchers graduate from MCG at Augusta University. Faculty physicians provide care for 170,000 patients a year. With more than $60 million in National Institutes of Health funding and nearly $117 million in total funding, faculty researchers are investigating multiple health concerns including aging, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, immunology, obesity and regenerative medicine.
