The program participates Dietetic Internship Centralized Application System (DICAS) hosted by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and D&D Digital dietetic internship matching cycle for Spring matching. The applicant must complete and submit their application to our program using DICAS by the DICAS deadline. Please refer to the DICAS Applicant Portal at https://portal.dicas.org or the DICAS Information page on the Academy’s website for guidance and deadlines. The program is a Master of Science in Allied Health with a Concentration in Nutrition with a dietetic internship (MS-DI). Graduate student interns are required to complete a Capstone Project. (This is a non-thesis MS program.)
In addition to DICAS and D&D Digital fees and applications, all applicants must submit their application to the Augusta University Admission Office at this link. Please select "Online Application for Graduate Programs", create an account and select “Master of Science in Allied Health with a Concentration in Nutrition” from the Program Menu. Application deadline is February 15. All applicants matched to the MS-DI option must successfully complete the GRE on or before July 1. Letters of recommendation submitted through DICAS may be used for MS-DI applications. Applicants are required to complete and submit a graduate school application. All applicants must pay a $50 Processing Fee online to be fully considered for admission.
Incomplete applications will not be reviewed by the selection committee. Therefore, all materials required to complete the DICAS application must be submitted by the deadline. Admission requirements include a bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited college or university and an original verification statement from a ACEND approved/accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD). If the applicant is completing a DPD program, the applicant may submit a Declaration of Intent Form instead of the verification statement at the time of application.
The program is obliged to follow the rules and guidelines established by Augusta University. Consideration and acceptance of the interns is by a selected committee that will be in compliance with the university, state and federal regulations and laws. The selection committee includes the program director, nutrition faculty and preceptors. The application of each intern will be viewed and considered individually, in compliance with the protection of student civil rights.

Minimum Requirements for the Master of Science in Allied Health with a Concentration in Nutrition with a Dietetic Internship:
Completion of an ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics with an original ‘Verification Statement’ or ‘Intent to Complete’ from the Didactic Program Director (provisional acceptance, pending verification statement from DPD)
GPA on a 4.0 scale:

GRE Requirement: Test takers who took the GRE prior to August 1, 2011 were scored on the old scoring
scale of 200-800. The minimum score requirement of 900 total (combined Verbal and
Quantitative Scores) will continue to be used for those who took the GRE prior to
the scoring changes. Test takers who took the GRE after to August 1, 2011 are scored
on the new scoring scale of 130-170. The minimum score of 290 total (combined Verbal
and Quantitative Scores) will be required for those who took the GRE after to the
Provisional acceptance may be awarded for highly qualified applicants with a GRE score less than the minimal requirements.
TOEFL Scores: Minimum score of 550 paper-based, 213 computer-based, or 79 internet-based.
Official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores are required for applicants whose first language is not English. Exemption from the TOEFL requirement is allowed for graduate students who submit proof of earning a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university where English is the language of instruction.
Recency of Education: Applicants must be able to demonstrate successful completion of coursework in advanced nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, nutrition assessment and/or sufficient evidence of clinical practice within the five years prior to the starting date of the internship. The applicant must also submit a transcript indicating the grade received for this course is completed. If currently enrolled, Declaration of Intent Form must be provided by Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Director.
