About Us
The Academic Success Center (ASC) hosted its official grand opening, Monday, January 9th, 2017. The overall goal of the ASC is to create a positive space to promote student learning through tutoring, academic coaching, and success workshops. Since its opening the ASC has helped foster peer-tutoring support, academic coaching, and more. As of today, the ASC has reached over 10,000 visits and counting.
About the Space
This open and airy 5000+ square-foot space is on the first floor of University Hall. The space has seating for more 180 students at any given time. The front area has a coffee-house vibe with round tables and access to a coffee machine.
The main area has movable tables, multiple mobile glass boards, a charging station and soft seating. Other seating options include booth seating, round tables with moveable chairs fill the corner. We also have two active learning rooms, one with high top tables and bar stools and one with bench seating and bouncy stools, with multiple glass boards all around the room. Overall, the space is a fabulous place for our students to learn and thrive!
