Embedded tutors are peer educators who work in an academic course with individual students or small groups to increase students' understanding of the course material, in a program that offers additional in-class support to students who may be wary of seeking academic support on their own. |
Embedded tutors are trained for their multiple roles: as liaisons between instructor and students, offering opportunities for small group workshops and individual sessions to assist where they determine need is the greatest.
The Academic Success Center is willing to support any class or lab offered at the university. To gain more information about this opportunity for your course, please contact Paula S. Owens at powens3@augusta.edu
