Augusta University Receiving (Campus Receiving) is now utilizing a tracking tool from Pitney Bowes to track packages called “SendSuite Tracking Online (SSTO)”. This allows us to better track packages as they come in from couriers and are distributed to the requesting departments - providing a much better and quicker tracking process for receiving and distribution of your packages throughout campus. This process provides more efficiency to follow the chain of custody in the tracking process. Signature will now be required for packages delivered to the department by receiving delivery staff, same as if signing for FedEx or UPS deliveries. Courtesy notice may be emailed from Pitney Bowes (PB.com) that we have a package onsite at Receiving. All trucks deliveries for Augusta University must deliver to 1555 Clay Street, Augusta 30901.
With the utilization of this new tool, we will continue to bring quick and reliable services to our Augusta University customers.
Packages will not be received and/or delivered during Augusta University holiday closings. We advise ordering cold/perishable items as far in advance of the holidays as possible to prevent missed deliveries. If you need cold items within the next working days leading up to the holidays, please schedule accordingly.
Remember, if cold items arrive during scheduled AU holiday closings, UPS, Federal Express, AU Warehouse, etc. are not responsible for the items if they lose their freshness, quality or integrity. Please be aware that packages, especially cold packages, could sit on delivery trucks for days. Please plan around this to prevent loss of products ordered.
Perishable items received during official University closing dates will be the sole responsibility of the ordering department. Receiving and Purchasing Department will not claim responsibility for the freshness/quality/integrity of the perishable item if it is delivered during the official holiday closing.
Rush/Perishables - Will be delivered SAME DAY during afternoon rush route (1 - 4.30PM)
Ground - Will be delivered NEXT DAY (8AM - 12PM)
PALLETS/BULK /LARGE Packets - May require "Moving Services'. These will be scheduled for delivery with Moving Services Section, and will be delivered at their next availability.
Computers /Monitors - Computers, monitors and other IT related equipment will be delivered directly to ITS Provisioning Department for setup on our network and equipment tagging. Once setup is complete, IT will call to schedule installation. Some items not requiring ITS will be delivered directly to department.
